Content Description

Accumulation of 2.5" x 4" and 3.5" x 4.5" black-and-white portrait proofs (and a very few portrait negatives) depicting cadets of the Class of 1979 whose last names begin with letters A-E, in their fourth class or plebe year. Portraits were made by a commercial studio and the negatives subsequently purchased by the photographic laboratory and used for press releases and other public relations activities during the cadet's tenure at the Academy. In his accumulation, in a very few cases, both a portrait proof and a portrait negative are interfiled in the same envelope. Negatives and proofs of cadets in the Class of 1979 with last names starting F-Z are in Series 233.
