Partially printed form completed in manuscript by various personnel, including James Longstreet as U.S. Marshal for the Northern District of Georgia; statement of account for the week ending April 12, 1884; form is headed "Office of the Marshal of the United States for the Northern District of Georgia" and completed in manuscript by Longstreet with this autograph signature, dated "Atlanta, Ga., April 12, 1884," to account for $7580.65 of governemnt funds on deposit at Atlanta National Bank as of that date; itemized list of anticipated expenses [obligating the funds on account?]; form is desgined to be folded in thirds upon completion and turned 90 degrees so that printing on the verso of the leaf can be completed; reverse of tri-fold has [printed heading]: "First Endorsement Department of Justice", [blue inkstamp]: "Department of Justice, April 14, 1884"; completed in manuscript and dated "April 15, 1884" [signed] "Cecil Clay, Chief Clerk"; [docketing at upper right corner] "63"; inner page created by the tirfold has [printed heading]: "Second Endorsement, Treasury of the United States"; [purple inkstamp] ; dated in manuscript "April 29, 1884" and signed "S. Platt for Asst. Treasurer", attesting that the amount on deposit at Atlanta National Bank is actually 8954.07; appears to be returning the document to the Department of Justice evidently for further account reconciliation; illegible docketing in red ink to the left of Platt's signature; obverse of page created by trifold has purple inkstamp: "Treasurer's Office Apr 16, 1884 11 AM Division of Accounts." 1 folded leaf.
